Arkansas Educational Programs & Workshops
“Every citizen has the duty to be informed, to be thoughtfully concerned and to participate in the search for solutions.”
--Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller
Gov. Rockefeller brought to this state a spirit of adventure, a sense of possibility and a willingness to lead. At the Rockefeller Institute we work on keeping this spirit alive through our Arkansas educational programs, workshops and activities.
Committed to acting as a catalyst, our vision involves combining the legacy and ideas of Gov. Rockefeller with the resources and expertise of the state’s premier university system. Our mission is to develop diverse educational programs that nurture ideas, policies and activities to make life better in Arkansas.
We pursue our mission by organizing workshops, seminars, public lectures, conferences and special events in a variety of areas. Our educational program areas reflect Gov. Rockefeller’s diverse interests and other areas impacting life in Arkansas.
Currently our program areas are:
- Archeology
- Arts
- Culinary Arts
- Economic Development
- Environment
- Health and Wellness
- Heritage
- Policy and Public Affairs
Collaboration is important to us as the Arkansas educational programs and workshops at the Rockefeller Institute are designed to complement efforts by other organizations in the state. We value input from the public and partnerships with other organizations and institutions. If you have ideas for educational programs you would like to see offered or would like to partner with us in a specific program area, please e-mail us.
