Bountiful Arkansas: A Celebration of Arkansas' Homegrown Foods

Bountiful Arkansas

Bountiful Arkansas Day: A Celebration of Arkansas' Homegrown Foods | July 16-17, 2010. Click on the image to register.Bountiful Arkansas is a celebration of all that our state has to give. Through this annual, hands-on, family friendly event, Winthrop Rockefeller Institute strives to show the public the beauty and abundance of The Natural State. We celebrate with a variety of educational workshops, local farm vendors, practical demonstrations, expert-led garden tours, a tomato tasting, and more.

In July of each year, you and your family are invited to spend the day on beautiful Petit Jean Mountain and celebrate what our state produces. We encourage you to register for the workshops, which are suitable for a wide range of experiences.

Why We Celebrate

Winthrop Rockefeller Institute carries out Winthrop Rockefeller’s commitment to being a steward of the land through educational programs such as Bountiful Arkansas. Although Governor Rockefeller addressed many areas of need during his time in Arkansas, he focused largely on agriculture – a cause he devoted himself to for the remainder of his life. His leadership and philanthropy brought agriculture and education together in a common forum. Governor Rockefeller went to great lengths to make agricultural education viable and more interesting to the people he dedicated himself to serving.
