Photo by Todd JohnsonExtend your digital photography skills in this creative course centered on nature. Aimed at enthusiasts who want to progress from using auto mode, instructor and professional photographer Todd Johnson will help any novice unlock the full potential of his or her digital camera.

In this workshop, an outdoor excursion provides an opportunity to capture stunning photos of natural subjects, while indoor instruction explores the theoretical aspects of image creation. This class involves light to moderate hiking. Non-slip hiking shoes and all-weather clothing are recommended.

Note: Students are expected to review and bring their cameras' instruction manuals and shoot using their own equipment.

About the Instructor

Todd Johnson; his wife, Tracy; and their sons – Zane, Jonah, and Laddie – sit for a family photo at Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s water feature.Todd Johnson is a professional graphic artist, illustrator and photographer. Since 1999, he and his wife, Tracy, have owned and operated Circa Incorporated, where they primarily specialize in museum and corporate exhibit and environmental graphic design, digital archival of historic photo collections, photographic digital asset management, and photo restoration. Work from this award-winning organization can be seen in the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s own historical gallery
