Winthrop Rockefeller Legacy Weekend

Panelists for the inaugural heritage program in 2008 included, from left, Ernie Dumas (moderator), Judge G. Thomas Eisele, John Ward and Marion Burton.Winthrop Rockefeller’s leadership and philanthropy transformed Arkansas in many ways and left a lasting legacy. This legacy is renewed and celebrated each year at a special event that examines the specific decisions and contributions he made that continue to affect not only the modern-day political environment of the state, but the everyday lives of many Arkansans.

The event is held the first weekend of May each year. Designed to let people hear the stories behind the history, each year features a panel of those who were close to the Governor or those with intimate knowledge of the chosen topic sharing their insights and memories. While there is no cost to attend the program, seating is limited and reservations are recommended.
