St. Anthony's Receives Donation from Rockefeller Institute
PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN, Ark. (Jan. 11, 2010) – St. Anthony’s Medical Center was the recipient of a $969 donation from Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s Lodge and Conference Center. A portion of the proceeds from the Rockefeller Institute’s New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fundraiser went to Conway County’s only hospital in an effort to reflect Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller’s commitment to philanthropy.
Seventy-five guests rang in the New Year atop Petit Jean Mountain with dinner, dancing and live music by Flashback, a classic rock band based out of Morrilton.
St. Anthony’s Medical Center was founded in 1925 by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica in Fort Smith. The hospital’s commitment to its patients is rooted in four core values – reverence, integrity, compassion and excellence – that help to carry out its mission to provide “the right care, right here in Morrilton.” St. Anthony’s and its parent organization, St. Vincent Health System, are part of Catholic Health Initiatives, a national network of hospitals.
