Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibit and Sale
The 4th annual Arts in the Air Professional Art Exhibit and Sale was held May 2-23, 2009 at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain. Designed to celebrate the creativity and originality of Arkansas’ artists, this show features only 20 of Arkansas’ best artists each year.
Artists selected for the 2009 show included the following:

This year, the opening of the show was held in conjunction with the Rockefeller Institute’s annual heritage event. Called WR: The Rockefeller Brand on the Arts in Arkansas, the heritage program featured a discussion of Gov. Rockefeller’s personal contributions to and support of art and arts education in Arkansas. Proceeds from sales of the art support Envision U and other student art programs at the Rockefeller Institute.
Thanks to the many Arkansas artists who submitted applications to this year’s show. Each year we hope to keep the show fresh and different by showcasing the variety of work being created by professional artists in all different parts of the state.
