Art Escapes 2010
The Rockefeller Institute and Art – Colorful Complements
The Rockefeller Institute invites artists of all skill levels to escape to Petit Jean to nurture their artistic talents.
Building on the beauty of our natural setting and a sense of remoteness felt atop a mountain, Art Escapes offers you a special environment for a creatively intense art workshop. The gracious accommodations of our conference center will make your stay a memorable retreat.
Specifically, Art Escapes offers several different workshops, each taught by a working artist. The artists provide 16 hours of instruction, including individual assistance and critiques to make this a truly rewarding learning experience. Meals and evening programming allow even more time for the students and instructors to interact and share ideas and creative experiences.
Choose between all-inclusive or commuter workshop packages. All-inclusive workshop packages include three nights lodging and all meals beginning Thursday evening. Commuter packages include no lodging and only certain meals each day. Supplies are not included in any of the workshop packages.
Special rates are available for guests not participating in a workshop but wishing to accompany a workshop participant on this weekend retreat.
