A Sense of Place
Located on the estate of the late governor, the Rockefeller Institute is a place of historical significance and natural beauty. Petit Jean Mountain provides visitors with breathtaking views, enchanting woodland trails, historic locales and awe-inspiring beauty.
When Winthrop Rockefeller arrived in Arkansas in 1953, he sought a place to set his home. It took only a brief visit for Petit Jean to become the Rockefeller home for generations to come.
As we move into a new era, nurturing our “place” in the natural setting of Petit Jean and our “place” as a catalyst for advancement in Arkansas remains at the forefront of our focus.
